Faith, Family, and Service: Why Being Catholic Matters to Me
Faith has always been an important foundation in my life. Being Catholic is not simply something I grew up with. It is a guiding force that shapes how I treat people, how I approach my work, and how I try to live each day with purpose and integrity.
For me, the Catholic faith is about service, responsibility, and community. It reminds me that our actions matter, that we are called to care for one another, and that the work we do should reflect our values. Whether I am helping a family find a home, assisting a property owner through a difficult situation, or supporting advocacy efforts that protect housing providers, I try to approach every decision with fairness, honesty, and compassion.
One of the things I appreciate most about the Catholic tradition is its emphasis on community. Parishes are more than places of worship. They are places where people support one another, celebrate life’s milestones, and come together in times of need. That sense of community has always resonated with me and has influenced the way I approach both my personal life and my professional relationships.
Faith also reminds me to stay grounded. Real estate and investing can move quickly, and decisions often carry significant financial and emotional weight for the people involved. My faith helps me stay focused on what matters most: treating people with respect, offering honest guidance, and helping others make decisions that support their long term stability and success.
I also believe strongly in stewardship. In the Catholic tradition, stewardship means caring responsibly for the resources and opportunities we are given. In my work, that perspective carries through to helping people invest wisely, maintain their properties responsibly, and build something lasting for future generations.
At the end of the day, my faith gives me perspective. It reminds me to lead with gratitude, to remain humble, and to always try to do the right thing even when the path forward is not always easy.
Being Catholic is not something I separate from my work or daily life. It is part of who I am and the values that guide how I serve others. My hope is that those values are reflected in the way I show up for my clients, my community, and the people I have the privilege to work with every day.
