Meet Julie Markarian
Julie Markarian is a Los Angeles-based real estate expert with more than 20 years of experience spanning residential and commercial sales, investing, loans and refinancing, property operations, renovations, and property owner advocacy.
Her interest in public policy began early. Julie attended California State University, Long Beach, where she studied political science and competed on the debate team, sharpening her communication and negotiation skills that define her work today.
Julie purchased her first property at just 23 and became a self-made millionaire by 30 through disciplined investing, strategic acquisitions, and thoughtful renovations. That firsthand experience as an owner and investor is what makes her perspective different. She understands the realities behind the paperwork: cash flow, tenant dynamics, maintenance, compliance, and the long-term decisions that make a property succeed.
Today, Julie is widely recognized for her 360 approach to real estate and for her leadership in property owner advocacy. She serves as PACT Director for the Apartment Owners Association of California and actively participates in local policy discussions impacting housing providers.
Julie regularly engages in City Hall conversations tied to property rights, due process, and responsible rental housing, supporting initiatives that protect property owners and preserve the ability for everyday people to build wealth through ownership.
Julie is also deeply committed to mentorship and education. After becoming a widow, she grew even more dedicated to teaching young women how to build generational wealth and become self-supporting through informed financial choices, with real estate as a powerful vehicle for long-term independence.
A devoted Catholic, she has taught Catholicism and believes in helping young people build a strong foundation both spiritually and financially. She also mentors young girls at an elementary school, encouraging them to dream big and think long-term.
Outside of work, Julie is a devoted dog mom to two rescue dogs, Riker and Lincoln, and an active animal advocate. She recently married her high school sweetheart and continues to lead with integrity, faith, and a commitment to the community.
Her mission is to help people own more of their lives, one property at a time, while defending the rights that make ownership possible.
